I have committed myself to coconuts -- and am slowly building up a small
plantation of them.
The important by product is coconut press cake -- which is a very healthy
high protein feed for all animals -- tilapia -- shrimp -- and even directly
for human consumption. It also is extra high energy content due to a
residual oil content of 6% or so.
When oil is extracted using cold press -- the cake does not go rancid for
at least six months (which is the length of one test I did here)
The oil stays non-rancid for years -- I have tested to 2.5 years -- oil
still good -- excellent -- actually.
You get portable liquid fuel -- super cooking oil -- "medicinal" oil -- and
"food"

You can even see a picture of me -- couple of years back -- no difference
today - -except I trimmed back the beard some 6 months ago.
Coconuts -- depending on cultivar -- can grow just about anywhere to -- and
"wild" coconuts tolerate dry seasons well. Further -- they can even use
salt water for growth.
No -- could Jatropha byproduct meal be used as food for a fast biomethane
digester??
