Revisiting this: when I was young people would modify car bonnets by
cutting slits and raising them to louvres, was a special tool used to
form them in one operation?
I can envisage such a device working on the same principle as a "mole"
self locking wrench, the jaws of the wrench engaging with the
tincanium and held at the right downward angle ( I use around 10
degrees)then slitting and forming the louvre as the handles are
squeezed, does that sound practical?
