Tami, Charlie,

Information for newcomers is in high demand. I've been asked is we can
create a "Stoves for Dummies" section. We've tried to put up information
that will help people learn by example and learn by doing. There is a need
for structured background information. We'd be happy point to or present
this information.

We do need to have a clear understanding of the target audience. Who will
use it and how will they access it? We need a variety of ways to present
similar information. For example, the PCIA "Design Principles" is good but
it is not for everyone and it can be enhanced by showing people examples in
the field.

In the last 364 day we have had 360,000 visits to the Biomass Cooking Stoves
site. That is from an average of 598 and a high of 1570 visits per day.
Visitors come from 192 countries. 34% US and Canada; 8% Mexico; 18% Central
and South America; 17% Asia; 17% Europe; 4% Africa; 2% Oceania.

Most visitors come from direct searches on the internet. They find stories
through more than 1200 terms (categories) that we tag stories with or
through the content. Pages that correspond to the tabs tend to be among the
top ten pages visited. The menus and search fucntions also help people who
spend time on the site.

We can create an "Introduction" tab and put basic and information and links
to introductory material on any number of sites. Send us your ideas and
content and we'll figure out how to present it.
