Andrew, et al,

We work with farmers all over the world who use poultry litter and other
byproducts as ruminant feed. We also use it as fuel in a gasification system
and a standard boiler for heating and hot water. Of course, the heat can also
be used to make clean water if you choose.

We could use this technology to produce livestock, including fish and other
aquatics, as well as fuel community kitchens.

Perhaps composting poultry litter in preparing it as cattle feed does
more than just neutralize pathogens? There is a lot of ammonia in
poultry droppings. Does it make the bedding material digestible? Mmmm,
poultry litter fed beef.

To kind of barely stay on subject, the wikipedia entry for poultry
litter has a section on poultry litter as fuel.
