[Stoves] Testing Results of the Ecocina Cooking Stove from El Salvador

Several people have asked about testing stoves. As you all know testing
methods are under discussion by an ETHOS committee but the best way to
describe laboratory testing is with a test report.
Stove Team International recently had their new Ecocina stove tested at
Aprovecho Research Center. Nancy Hughes of Stove Team has shared the report
with us at the link above.
Nordica MaCarty at Aprovecho has done a very nice job of preparing the
report, and describing and referencing the performance, emissions and safety
tests. Apro has tested more than 60 stoves and established their performance
benchmarks. I have attached a copy of the report to the article and provided
links to the testing organizations and procedures.
The Ecocina was introduced to El Salvador last year. It has been well
received and, like all stoves, is evolving. See recent news report from El
