The Traditional stove in Eastern India have maximum 6 month's time; .They rebuild on a Fulmoon/Sankaranti day or so and they are religious in such customs.
Improved stoves, in my experience have dwindled between two moths to a year maximum; in India maximum one year and they never rebilt the same - Aarti can provide their innivation and specify the age of lasting /age better. I am refering to MNES approved stoves;reasons I can not expand here, better go through the evaluation report "Improved Stoves - Yet to be a Success'.
Kerosene stoves have a longivity around 6 years in households, in Canteen and Fast food shops two years.

My wife has been using LPG stove for the last 37 years - only changed the burner for the sake of neigbouring women and relations for a show off - 2 burners to 4 burners and from then to 3 burmers!
