[Stoves] Question about the turn down ratio

Dean,

For India and Mexico you characterize an impatient cook looking for a fast
boil rather than a long low simmer. It seems to me that successful
applications of solar cookers (Bolivia, Whitfield) may be for long simmer
applications that would benefit from a good TDR. 

Do we have good characterizations of cooking habits in various countries or
regions?
