[Stoves] Question about the turn down ratio

Dear Stovers,

In the discussion of Turn Down Ratio, I detect tendencies to attribute 
the TDR to the pot or the pan or yes or no lid.
The Turndownratio is a property of the particular stove under discussion.
If all the cooking consists of boiling then a sensible cook would bring 
the pot to the boil as quickly as possible (without burning the 
contents) and then place the pan + lid in a haybox and kill fhe fire.
