[Stoves] Unidentified Cooking Device (UCD)

Dear Kevin, Crispin, Jeff,
and "terminology-freaks" (and "terminology-weaks" :-) )
The discussion about the abbreviation-derived names makes me remark as a
simple _not_ native English-speaker:
In combination with stove-name expressions and especially with descriptions
of functions of stoves I got disturbed by the word: "down". In my head
appeared a direction from top to bottom, not the _position_ "bottom".
Therefore I had to realize that the direction was not intended "down-ward"
but from bottom to top.
I wonder, if the simple "bottom to top" = BT (or =BoTo for no confusion with
Boiling Time) or for the inverse direction "Top to Bottom" = TB (or = ToBo)
was a help for avoiding confusion?
Especially when one wants to express an inverse draft, it needs a lot
"thinking round corners"; The proposed expressions do not.
I don't intend to change existing expressions for stoves, but for describing
a stove-working I think it could be helpful for international _not
confusable_ understanding.

Have a smile

Martin
