===WHO LAUNCHES CALL FOR PROPOSALS INTEGRATING WATER AND AIR
QUALITY===

WHO has just launched a Request for Proposals to fund two pilot
projects in the range of US$ 30,000 to 60,000 integrating household
water treatment and indoor air quality interventions in sub-Saharan
Africa

===OFF-GRID, MINI-GRID AND GRID ELECTRIFICATION ASSESSED===

ESMAP has published a Technical Paper on the technical and economic
assessment of Off-grid, Mini-grid and Grid Electrification

The 14th issue focuses on activities and achievements underway by

===REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: "PARTNERSHIP FOR CLEAN INDOOR AIR OUTREACH,

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency seeks proposals from
eligible entities to increase the exchange of technical and
programmatic information and action among Partnership for Clean
Indoor Air (PCIA).

===PROGRESS REPORT ON REGIONAL SMALL SCALE BIOMASS GASIFICATION FOR
THERMAL APPLICATIONS===

The project ARECOP initiated pilot projects to diffuse skill,
knowledge and technologies on biomass gasification for small scale
thermal applications in applied/practical context.

===BIOGAS SUPPORT PROGRAMME IN NEPAL===

The Global Partnership for Output Based Aid (GPOBA) will provide
funding of US$5 million to subsidize approximately 37,300 biogas
plants for rural Nepalese households.

===IDB SECCI ANNOUNCED OPERATION TO SUPPORT BIOFUELS IN GUATEMALA===

The Inter-American Development Bank has announced approval of a
US$400,000 grant from its Sustainable Energy and Climate Change
Initiative (SECCI) for technical studies that will help implement a
program to produce and promote biofuels in Guatemala.
