Frank, Since you are in an experimenting mode, could you try making corrugations on the pot by attaching a coil of wire spaced at, say, an unscientifically derived 1/2" or 3/4" spacing between coils? Theoretically, it should/might improve the transfer of heat to the pot. Andrew Parker (not AJH)
