Crispin,
Drip tees were invented a long time ago to deal with condensation in metal
chimneys.
The ell is replaced with a tee, the leg of the tee that points down is
capped and holes are drilled in the cap. The holes lets condensation drip
out and lets some dry air flow through the system. They used with wood
heaters in the USA.
You would think that if you introduced outside air into the exhaust stream
that you would just cause more condensation, but it works, somehow.
I have a YouTube video of how to build one. This is my first video so don't
