Dear Per-Einar Rosenhave

Nice to hear you, -coming from Norway- in the discussion,!

I admired Norwegian space-heating stoves for a long time. I first saw a
Jøtul in Belgium. I liked the idea of a sort of „cigarette-burning“ of long
logs;- burning for a long time, -with less work to cut down logs!

You talked about Norwegian laws for stoves. I can believe that high grade
burning is recommaded, but I cannot imagine, there was a law, to prescribe
definitely secondary burning, as Crispin thinks.

Can you tell us websites of typical modern norwegian stoves you are talking
of? What qualities of a chimney do they require?

-I am shure they need one.

What fuel/wood do they burn mostly/best?

- I think the space-heating stoves are interesting as well, not only
cooking-stoves.

Regards from Germany

Martin
