I think you are probably right for a room vented stove, it doesn't
matter too much if the pot blackens a bit, as long as it doesn't build
up to an insulating layer but as Crispin points out we usually need to
have flues at above 150C to make sure acid tars don't condense.

I suspect most stovers can discriminate between Andrews!
