[Stoves] Sustainable Stove Enterprises

A visit yesterday by a list member prompted the following question:

 

Are there any sustainable stove enterprises? 

 

That is, is anyone at an individual or company level making improved cooking
stoves (or fuels) as a business and selling them without the help of an NGO
or government program? Examples?

 

I thought that the Anagi stove in Sri Lanka was made mostly by independent
potters and that the production of the New Lao Bucket in Cambodia was
independent. Have the rocket stove enterprises that were launched by GTZ in
Malawi and Uganda become independent or are they largely dependent on orders
or subsidies from NGO's?
