For those interested in small scale digesters, I would highly recommend the revised version of
David House's The Complete Biogas Handbook which has been around in the original since the 60's
http://www.completebiogas.com/
The GTZ Spanish version which Tom Miles lists in his posting is good for Latin America if one has David's since the 
"devil" is in the details with respect to digesters and the use of biogas.
