Crispin,
The link is an interesting and fine combination out of so many
outdoor-stoves. I like the idea of this stove as a camper.
It re-ignites an old idea, that I had a lot of time ago:
How about:
- To introduce into the hole in the bottom an axle bearing just a simple
axial rotor?
The other axle of the rotor with bearing in another sheet-metal-plate with
some peri-central holes to suck fresh air from (under this plate and by that
) under the stove.
-The downside end of the axle bearing a belt-pulley to get the rotor moving
somehow in a simply manner.
The rest for getting the rotor moving is simple to manage; even with
low-(est)-tech.
-Possibly a screen above (under the wind-wheel-shaped) bottom plate to
protect the rotor against charcoal/ashes-fall.
The rotor could be driven permanently during stove-run, or simply in
critical burning conditions, e.g. in the beginning or by refuelling.
Thanks Crispin for the link, and
To Donald Kevilus for the stove-idea !
Regards
Martin
