Good idea.

I brought this up at my construction site today and one of the guys said 
he had in fact seen, or heard discussion of,  leather tiles for flooring 
on one episode of This Old House.
So it is possible.
When I mentioned the leather panels for the library and doors, some of 
the crew seemed to like the idea beyond being a source for crude 
jokes...sheesh, young guys these days...or any other days, for that 
matter.. :-)
