[Strawbale] earthen floor building department acceptance

Hello,
  I've been asked by my building inspector to submit information regarding an earthen floor's performance as a floor material, before he grants my permit for one. I am looking for examples in photo or letter (email) that I can copy and give to him for a file. 
   
  Do any of you know of websites to visit for such informaiton or personal experience that you could speak about? 
   
  Thanks much. This acceptance (hopelfully will be granted) will help all future permitted earthen floors in this area.
