Unfortunately, the "references" are often themselves suspect. Do a
Google search on the gentleman that Shivani views as her mentor, and
you may find some interesting reading.

There have been claims about electrical energy and magnetic fields
influencing health for well over a hundred years--including about
every kind of charlatan imaginable.

I, for one, would expect to see some double-blind studies that did not
*quite* confuse the science involving the subject quite so much as
some of the references cited seem to do.

As for your concerns regarding lightning--there is, simply speaking
*no* reason for such concerns. Lightning arrestors have been readily
available for many decades that work quite well--whether or not you
use metal mesh in your outer walls. In fact, I would assert that a
good lightning arrestor should preclude lightning *getting to* your
walls to begin with.

Consider: let us suppose that metal mesh may serve in some way to
isolate the occupants from lightning--as a general proposition. Now,
consider the pathway the lightning would take to get *to* the
mesh--perhaps starting a fire in the process?

No, thanks! I'll stick with a good arrestor setup, and base my
decisions on construction on relevant details rather than making an
assumption that it might--or might not--help with lightning.
