No I just use the twine I got at the hardware store. If one person pulls on 
the twine while another person is ratcheting the stretcher it works pretty 
well. One person could do it but it's not near as much fun.  I guess with 
wire you could really put a bind on the bales.

I sent along some pictures in another post, had to dig out the ole digital 
cam.
