[Strawbale] Possible additive for lime plaster

I have used fibers in various concrete and stucco projects for about 15
years. I first did an interior shop slab (24 by 24) using fibers and no
rebar or remesh and it has worked well. I used fibers in Portland cement
stucco on straw bales and it convinced me to try it in the scratch and brown
coats on a plywood substrate wall. It has been about a year and a half
since I did it and it looks great. My best stucco job yet.

I get the fibers at the concrete batch plant and it is pretty cheap. I
wouldn't do another job without it. I have never tried it with lime or
earth plaster but I will. If the fibers bother you in a slab, you can burn
them off with a torch of they wear off. They help the top coat on stucco
bond with the brown coat, too.
