We have pex in the concrete floor. We placed our bottom plates plates(for
all walls) before we laid our pex. We also did not run pipes in areas under
cabinets,
appliances and where toilets and plumbing would go. Door thresholds etc must
not be nailed to the floor. Glue is your best friend.
I plumbed our radiant so that in summer I changed the water flow and the
water goes through the floor before it hits the hot water heater. This warms
it up a bit before it hits the tankless
and also prevents stagnant water in our "open system" You need to run a lot
of cool water to get any significant cooling. I don't think we use enough
water to make a big difference. The floors do stay
nice and cool on a hot day though. No condensation problems.
I can also run it through my floor and than to the outside spigot for
watering the grass. I then need to have it not go through the water
softener. I have not changed the plumbing to do that.
