[Strawbale] rainwater catchment for toilets?

Why not have a dedicated line to the toilets from the cistern? This would
address any cross connection concerns. Another though more elaborate option
is to pump the water to a gravitational tank, you could also have a city
line feed into the gravitational tank with a float valve to cover the
possibility of you not having enough rain water. You also could invest in a
BRACs greywater system.
