[Strawbale] [ADMIN] Stop discussion of Global warming

Dear Administrator,

I have been on other email lists where administrators have restricted
discussions to totally "on topic" subjects, even when the "off topic"
subjects have addressed the larger context of the list. Some of those lists
are not longer in existance, others should be.

Sustainable building, strawbale or otherwise, exists, in part, in the
context of what human civilization is or may be doing to the planet. IMNSHO,
and from experience, if this, or any other, list can't tolerate discussions
that address the larger context the list exists in, especially when those
discussions remain civil and don't interrupt into flame-wars, then the list
has no real vitality or relevance, and is in danger of becoming boring and
a waste of bandwidth. There is only so much you can say about a given
limited topic. As David (Talking Heads) Byrne wrote, "Say something once,
why say it again?"

And, finally, where should we take the discussion? Is the administrator
willing to do us the courtesy of creating a Strawbale OT (off-topic) list
for those of us who don't want to color inside the lines?
