Whoa! there Nelly.

The membership of the "SB-r-Us" list may be a *little* more tolerant of OT
threads to a certain point but it's the "SB_Kitchen-sink" list that was
created as a place where OT discussions
could take place.

From the group description heading at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SB_Kitchen-sink/

"Off-topic discussions that begin on one of the SB Lists
and shows no sign of dying so needs a temporary home until
          it runs out of steam.

No holds barred, but suggest that some level of civility be
maintained and everyone shake hands and kiss and make up at the end."

In the past on the SB-r-us list it has been suggested that once an OT
thread reaches 6 postings on the subject, that participants in the thread
have the courtesy to self-regulate themselves and say "Okay, let's take
this to the SB_Kitchen-sink List and continue our discussion there".

Unless Marcus Hardwick has abdicated while I wasn't looking, he's the
ListMomma (or List plumber, depending upon your PoV.)

As Marcus once remarked, it's an underutilised resource and I think that
it'd be interesting to see this subject of "Global Warming" hashed out
there.
