[Strawbale] magnesite gung-ho

I am not sure I am looking at the same pictures as everybody else.  What I saw were pictures where they were replacing something else with the magnesite, not repairing magnesite.  I saw other materials that looked bad, which was why they was being replaced with the magnesite.  
   
  I didn't go to every site, so maybe I missed one showing weathered magnesite.

  The old  magnesite decks seemed to weather pretty bad, 
which may mean that this  flooring option requires moderate 
maintenance.
Or the stuff really doesn't  hold up too well.  There's gotta be some 
facts 
on it's durability  available somewhere, and what applications it's 
best for. 
This  might want to be looked into before people get too gung-ho about 
it.

Adam:  You've brought up a good point.  I thought that myself  when 
looking 
at the pics of it.  Why are they re-doing it if it's so  durable?  Much 
research must be done on it before I use it, but inquiring  minds WANT 
TO KNOW!!!
