This is new to me: Maybe it might be new to you as well. This company,
The Citizenre Corporation, is set up to offer long term rental of solar
PV power systems to home owners and businesses which could not otherwise
afford the up-front costs of such systems.

I don't know if the economics of it is worthwhile, but it might be a
good idea. The company requires a $500 security deposit up front and you
will be paying 8.75 cents per kwh generated, according to the "Security
Deposit and Payments" page.

Anyhow, I thought I'd pass it on for those who want to investigate this
option. My back-of-the envelope calculations, based on an even monthly
payment of $55/ month, indicates the 25-year contract will cost about
$17,000 minus the interest paid on the $500 security deposit.

So, is it worth it?

Cheers,

Chris Green.
