[Strawbale] Bales are here

We got our bales, stacked and tarped on our slab for loadbearing walls 
going up in August. The truck showed up a day ahead of time at 6pm, so my 
fab GF made some calls and pals and neighbors came over to help us unload 
and re-stack. We live in horse country, so everybody knows how to haul 
bales up here.

We're very lucky to have such good friends and neighbors. In addition to 
working, they made fun of us and our crazy-ass house.

About 380 bales all inside the house to make wall building easier. Lumber 
package to augment our salvaged materials will be dropped week after next, 
trusses will come out as soon as Habib says, "We'll need those trusses this 
afternoon."

I need to put up the posts and beams under our clerestory/cupola. I've been 
thinking about it, though, and I'm wondering if we should wait till after 
the bale walls are up so the posts aren't in the way of the bale stackers. 
Six of one, I reckon.

I'm putting in some handmade pavers in the living room and bedroom---12# 
each and my back is aching. But we've never gotten this far before so, yippee.
