[Strawbale] Tile on clay plaster/cob

Orion - 

I don't know if I would use shower tile straight on strawbale after taking
apart at least one shower installed onto the old "green board" drywall which
had completed rotted out behind the tiles. I can only imagine what the bales
would look like after a leak...

I'm using the Schluter Kerdi membrane over concrete board as my method in a
bathroom shower remodel right now. A fellow named John Bridge hosts a great
discussion spot for any tile-related questions - the moderators and
professionals who frequent this board are very helpful.

They might even be able to let you know about your other tiles and how you
might be able to install them directly on the limed surfaces.
