Chris,
Have you ever seen what a torch does to rubber? The primary "problem"
arises when idiots are involved who don't read the product datasheets
and installation instructions, but try to treat it as another product
altogether.
Hence the strong emphasis.
When EPDM is applied correctly, it far surpasses older materials for
flat roofs such as bitumen.
