It is interesting really what we might learn about faux anything isnt it?
The vanity, the illusion, the deceit, the need to "appear" "appropriate" ?
does "faux" say this or is it just a need to match the trousers with the
jacket? sort of lets make it look co ordinated and smart ? Rather than
utilitarian and mismatched? Organised and "professional looking" or much
darker ?

The larger question of building as cultural activity also plays here I think
where else but North America would something be fashioned to "appear" like
something else

but surely in a
most surprising way! Oh OK, mock tudor springs to mind
