There he goes with that imprecision again.
I say "String 'im up from the nearest beam !!"
Okay, okay. Maybe that's a bit harsh. The nearest tree will do.
It's more than a "risk". It's pretty much a certainty.
But seriously folks...
The Derelict speaks the Truth.
Back during the previous "Green" movement of the Heepee Days, many people
felt that they too should cut their own trees to make their
anything-but-the suburban-crackerboxes-out-there homes and more than a
few people without the aforementioned "foundational knowledge of wood"
used green lumber and timber to make their Labour of Love Handcrafted Home
... with the predictable results.
IIRC one of those people even wrote a book whose title was to the effect:
"The Heartbreak of Building With Green Wood".
That is to say, after shedding all that Blood, Sweat and Tears to convert
Trees into House, they watched in horror as their green wood handiwork
shrank, split, warped, twisted and otherwise self-destructed into not much
more than a heap of kindling stock and there was nothing they could do to
prevent it from doing so.
