[Strawbale] Anti Cement Folks

	There is such a strong thread of anti-cement sentiment running through 
this group that I have reached the point where I question virtually all 
the shared "wisdom" about cement versus lime based stucco and plaster. 
On need only bring up cement to be attacked or at least corrected on the 
issue of what an undesirable material it is.

	As a result of this I cannot believe any of what has been said about 
the relative merits of the two materials as being accurate and unclouded 
by prejudice.   This is a shame........   I had hoped at one time to get 
accurate and realistic information here and as things have developed I 
find that I must resort to other less biased sources for this kind of 
information.

	Please think about this.........   I'm sure I am not the only one here 
who has arrived at this conclusion...... just the only one to say so. 
When you don't know what really is true and what is wishful thinking 
what do you believe..... who do you believe?   As I have said before the 
"carbon footprint", "embodied energy", and other politically and 
environmentally correct considerations .... DO NOT ENTER INTO MY 
DECISIONS ON CONSTRUCTION AT ALL.........  I will build with the 
materials I feel will serve me the best and that is all there is to it.

	An analogy of what this environment feels like at times.... would be 
that of being in a crowd of Rush devotees...... It doesn't take long to 
put 2 and 2 together and realize that you are being fed total BS.......

	That said there are plenty of good ideas and discussions here and aside 
from cement related stuff this group has been pretty useful.
