The following link shows a set of kitchen cabinets made in a vaguely
similar way that I made the ones I talked about, from softwood boards
ripped down and half-lapped, etc.
These folks did a better job than I did, to be quite honest about it,
and built the whole unit as one piece, not a series of smaller boxes..

The entry for January 26th shows the finished area.
This is a kitchen in what is said to be the worlds' first strawbale
/mobile/ home...meaning the whole of it is built on a mobile home
chassis so that it can be moved if necessary.
I have sometimes thought about the possibility of doing this, now I know
it can be done.
It's in East Yorkshire, England and will be used as a guest cabin/
rental cabin. It was built by Richard and Carol Atkinson, who also have
this website:

They used 90 full bales and 30-odd half bales.
Nicely done, folks.
Cheers,
Chris Green.
