Hello Laren. I like what you are saying about the benefits of raising your house. I think you could add to the efficiency of your floor insulation by adding a layer of bubble foil at the bottom. You would need to provide for a space of up to an inch above the foil layer to allow for reradiation of house heat and discourage conduction.
The bubble foil eliminates efficiency reduction due to dust settling on the foil by including an inside layer of foil protected by bubble wrap layers. It would also reflect heat away from your floor from the hot shop below in the summer. Best wishes, David Gray
