Detroit and the surrounding region need solutions for the challenges that face us. The Great Lakes Bioneers Detroit conference will provide a robust look at the practical and visionary solutions for our communities. 

Past participants in other Bioneers conferences have described the experience as "revved up", "inspiring", "motivating", "brilliant" and "fascinating". 

The conference will include informative talks, performances and incredible locally-grown food.

Goals for our conference are:
To tap the power and richness of Metro Detroit's diversity, inviting people to come together as a learning community, and commit to new ways of living, acting and thinking that build sustainable community 
To provide individuals and groups already committed to and focused on sustainable transformative ideas, education and action in Detroit a synergistic space in which to network and connect for the sake of the common good 
To collaborate with four Detroit colleges/universities to promote Bioneers vision and values? 
To nurture a deeper understanding of a 'sense of place' and foster new awareness of our essential interconnectedness 
To ensure that the conference is relevant for urban residents and enables the participation of low income people
