[Strawbale] Plaster mixes - now glass fibers?

Here in the southwest, you can get the glass fibers at 
Home Depot as stucco is big here and it is frequently 
added to stucco mix.  They are similar if not identical to 
the glass fibers you use in concrete to help reinforce it. 
 We used it in poured foundations and driveways in 
Michigan.  The glass fibers, like straw can be problematic 
if used on a finish coat as they can be visible.
