What about the energy savings from thermal mass (of concrete)?  This, or foucrse, assumes that such a floor is properly designed to sync heat.

I was just informed on another list that wood floors
are better for the enviroment, are easier to insulate
and cost less than concrete floors. So I am going to
see if I can install one in the basement.
