WHAT IS A WEEPSCREED?
Weepscreed is used as a bottom edge terminator of the
LATH. It is also used to ensure the mudsill at the
foundation plate stays dry. This screed is often
mistaken as a Flashing. it is NOT a flashing. The
screed is designed as ground with holes at the bottom
of it to let any moisture that may have acumulated to
weep out from the paper. Because this screed has holes
in it, the weepscreed CANNOT be used as flashing.
