I've never made lime plaster by mixing sand and lime out of a bag the  
night before, let alone from a Murrican bag so I had no idea what Debbie  
was talking about when she mentioned the "1 part lime to 2 parts sand "  
recipe.

It did however, sound like a lot of lime.
A 1:4 ratio seemed more reasonable, but I would have been talking out of  
my hat (if I wore one)
if I had said that and felt it would be better if someone who actually  
knew something about it (like the aforementioned Beel) commented on that.
