I remember reading in one of my Cob construction books about a house in
Australia that survived two earthquakes, and while I was trying to look
that up on the internet I found the following...
"University of British Columbia engineers tested cob's earthquake
resistance and, according to one account, the test structure survived a
simulated 7.4 quake with only minor cracks, even after prior shaking."
Have a great day!

Greetings baleheads
I have been asked about SB buildings in earthquake prone areas and I
seem to
recall someone posting about how a SB building was one of the only
buildings
left standing after an earthquake (possibly in the Americas) does anyone
know more about this or did I dream it?
