I live in Zambia and I have completed my strawbale construction, against
danger of termites, absence of square balers, prepacked mix and anybody
else in the region who had ever dare to venture into such foolishness.
I'd like to post different topics from foundations to wall finishes. Is
this the right place ? Is there a format ? Most digests received here on
emails are q&a between users so I'm not really sure if you would be
happy to hear the whole story bit by bit as there is alot to talk about.
Not only the walls are made of grass, the roof is also thatched at 1/2
the normal pitch, some walls are a straight line and others are curb. A
challenge in every possible way ! I can say that despite the odds, the
structure is solid, insect-free and quite an accomplishment.
