Something that may be of interest to residents of the Northern half of Alberta, ( and further afield if you want to do the driving ). Northern Lakes College, located in the town of Slave Lake Alberta is putting on a two day ( March 1 &2 ) "Home Energy Alternatives Trade Show ". Along with a Eco- kids corner there are some tours of a local energy efficient home and , of course a the straw bale home of the Nowachin family ( " the straw house that won't blow down ")
Cost is $5.)) per person / $10.00 per family. Says no one refused entry if you are short of funds as this is a non profit 'do'.
