[Strawbale] stucco wire & earthen plasters?

A large part of our sheer strength is based on the use of stucco wire, but 
having just read The Natural Plaster Book, they strongly advise against 
using stucco wire under an earthen plaster finish. We have built two straw 
homes with cement based stucco but based on advice from this listserve + the 
Natural Plaster Book, we are leaning towards a lime based plaster inside and 
out for this final! home.
1) Is stucco wire going to be a problem with the application of a lime based 
plaster?
2) Can anyone give us a quick recipe for lime based plaster so we can 
forward it to our engineer (brother in law) to determine whether this 
plaster in conjunction with stucco wire will be acceptable for sheer 
strength.
