Speireag et al,

Cleaning resuspends particles. We did some work with a HEPA vacuum vs. a
broom cleaning up leaded dust many years ago. Both created clouds of
airborne particles from the floor. If you have an asthmatic person in the
house, do not let them be the cleaning person. If you are using a HEPA
vacuum or a central vac vented outdoors, the particle peak created in the
room will dissipate faster as those devices are better able to reduce the
particle counts in the room. Cleaning with these devices will still result
in an increase in particle exposure at the beginning of the activity.
