[Strawbale] Solar Hot Water

Moisture issues out side the tank might be a problem.
Hopefully there would be no moisture outside of the
tank for may reasons.
I have read that home made tanks do not do well as the
water can get very hot and the hot water will destroy
most home made tanks.
Regardless of if it was a hobbled together system or a
dedicated factory system, I would likely increase the
R value around the tank or in a room for the tank

Cellulose is blown in and has about R 3.8 per inch. It
is said to handle absorbing and releasing moisture
well repeatedly and retain it's R value somewhat or a
lot when wet. It does not need venting the way
fiberglass can. I think I would like to have about R
40 to R 60, but that is just saying numbers off the
top of my head without research and a system in mind
or any of the other variables considered or ever
having made such a thing.
