[Strawbale] New Mexico Straw Bale Code Variations

Hi All,
I have a straw bale project in New Mexico where we are looking at doing  
exterior bamboo pinning with cocoa mesh and earthen and lime plasters. This is  
different than what is required in the current New Mexico Straw Bale Code and I  
would like to know if any of you have gotten any of these alternatives  
through  the State Code Board?
